Description

I'm doing mixed media with my photo manipulation work now. This is archival ink print i made of "Candyland Sweetbriar Corner on a Frosty Morning" after i added gel pens, multi-colored ballpoint pens, chinagraph pencil, sharpies, glitter, rhinestones, swarovski crystals. This is actually a work in progress shot, i've done much more on it since, and i'm still working on it. The first archival ink print i did mixed media with was "A Fairy Garden 02," but i forgot to take photos of it, grrrrr. It came out SO good, people raved about it. This one, as is usually the case with second attempts at something, is not coming together as easily.  But it is coming together, and i already started doing mixed media on a third archival print - "Fairygate In Bloom," and that one is also not as easy as i thought it would be. But it's fine, i'm learning, and i'm having fun doing it. Altho i've also spent a ton of money on art supplies Wink/Razz

Another good thing about doing the mixed media is that i can charge a lot more for the prints now, coz i worked on them by hand. Also, i like to do custom framing with those prints, rather than buying those cheapie Micheal's do-it-yourself frames.  I'm starting to get more ambitious with my framing, and consequently, i'm selling stuff, so that's been great.

This is the original photomanip. You can see it didn't quite print out the way i intended. I'm finding that happens a lot:

Great idea to enhance your prints by hand! I've thought of doing that too, but I never came around with it. :)
