As a photographer, as a queer, kinky, trans girl; and as someone whose been alive for decades, but has only been her Self for a portion of that time, i have to say there is no real, true, objective experience that everyone can agree on as definitive reality. The camera does NOT capture objective "reality," the colors, the focus, the lighting are diff in the camera than what your eye sees, then what it looks like on your computer, or printed out. Every person sees color differently. There are shared subjective experiences that feel like objective reality, but there is no objective reality. It's your movie, you're starring in it, you decide what's real and what isn't. Why not decide to believe in equality, freedom and personal liberty for all people, that the earth is both a gift and our mother and we should treat it with the respect that is her due?

A really interesting piece. The message really requires the viewer to think about the implication of the statement. The colors are nice, though the word "thing" kind of blends in with the yellow in the background, but that's just me nitpicking it. The background is good, with a wide variety of colors, all in a quite nonsensical scene, fitting the words in the foreground. It kind of looks like a lake or other body of water, with a swan swimming in it, though I guess it could look different to someone else, which I really like. Overall, a good artwork that made me think about what it was saying.
